Buenos Aires - Words by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber / Will Rapp. (Hal Leonard) ($40.00) (Grade 3) This title is a percussion feature. It is from the Cinergi Motion Picture "Evita". It is in 4/4 meter in a Latin style with the quarter note equal to 116 to 120 beats per minute. Parts included are: snare drum, cymbals, quad-toms, multiple bass drums (4), aux. percussion, bells, xylophone, marimba, vibes, and timpani.
George of the Jungle - Stan Worth and Sheldon Allman / Will Rapp and Paul Lavender. (Hal Leonard) ($40.00) (Grade 3.5) This arrangement is a percussion feature with optional brass section. The key is E-flat with a meter signature of 2/4. The quarter note is equal to 108 beats per minute. Using the brass section, the trumpet range is to a high C above the staff.
March Reveille - Curt Wilson. (Gore) (MB - $30.00 ; CB - $40.00) (Grade 3.5) This march is published in both concert band and marching band size. The opening key is E-flat in cut time. The half note is equal to 138 beats per minute. The key changes several times throughout; at measure 42 to A-flat, at measure 58 it goes to D-flat, at measure 90 it goes to A-flat again, and finally at measure 128 it goes to E-flat again.
MMMBop - Isaac Hanson, Taylor Hanson, Zac Hanson / Larry Clark. (Warner Bros.) ($45.00) (Grade 3) This "moderate rock" tune is in the key of B-flat. The meter is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 112 beats per minute. Many of the rhythms are repetitive. 3-D Drill design is available for this title from Pygraphics for both the MAC and PC.
