Bell Canyon March - John OReilly. (Alfred) ($35.00) (Grade 1) This title correlates with the Yamaha Band Student, Book 1, page 12. It is in the key of B-flat and uses only 6 notes: B-flat through G. The meter is 2/4. There are some repeated sections. A piano accompaniment part is provided.
Browers Hill March - David Bobrowitz. (Belwin) ($45.00) (Grade 1.5) Browers Hill March opens in the key of B-flat. The key changes to C. The meter signature is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 114 beats per minute. There are some dotted eighth and sixteenth note patterns.
Bugle Call March - Alfred Fabrizio. (Belwin) ($45.00) (Grade 1.5) Bugle Call March is in common time with the quarter note equal to 112 beats per minute. The opening key is E-flat. The key changes to A-flat and then to B-flat.
Celebrate and Discover - Douglas Court. (Curnow Music) ($39.00) (Grade 1.5) (Time 2:10) This title is a concert march. It is in the key of F. There are some accidentals throughout. The meter is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 116 to 120 beats per minute.
Early Bird March - Mark Williams. (Alfred) ($35.00) (Grade 1) (Time 2:00) This march has no written key signature (B-flat), and accidentals are written in. A piano accompaniment part is provided. This title is correlated to the Accent on Achievement Band Method, Book 1, Page 10.
Hoosier Pride - John Edmondson. (Queenwood) ($32.00) (Grade 1.5) This concert march is in 2/4 meter with the quarter note equal to 120 beats per minute. There are some repeated sections. The key is E-flat and there are some accidentals. The rhythms are mostly eighth and quarter notes. Hoosier Pride is based on two familiar tunes, "On the Banks of the Wabash" and " Back Home (Again in Indiana)".
Majestic March - Paul Lavender. (Hal Leonard) ($30.00) (Grade 1) (Time 2:00) This concert march is correlated to the Essential Elements Band Method book 1, page 7. The key is B-flat. The meter is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 112 -120 beats per minute.
March From "The Nutcracker" - P. I. Tschaikowsky / Mike Story. (Belwin) ($40.00) (Grade 1.5) March From "The Nutcracker" is in the key of B-flat. It is in 4/4 meter with the quarter note equal to 120 beats per minute. There are some triplet patterns. Much use of staccato and slurring is encountered in this title. The flute and clarinet have a four sixteenth note pattern to play. The trumpet range is to fourth space E. This title is in the Young Band Series from Warner Bros.. A full performance CD is included.
Mount Vernon March - John Edmondson. (Queenwood) ($32.00) (Grade 1) Mount Vernon March opens in the key of B-flat. The meter signature is 2/4 with the quarter note equal to 112 beats. The first strain is an original tune, while the second strain is based on "Yankee Doodle" and "Chester". The key changes to E-flat. There are some repeated sections and there also is a D.C. al fine.
Mount Vernon March - Tom Molter. (Barnhouse) ($35.00) (Grade 1.5) Mount Vernon March is in the key of B-flat but changes to E-flat. The meter signature is 4/4. The quarter note is equal to 120 beats per minute. There are some accidentals. The drum section has an 8 measure soli. There is some use of syncopation. This title is in the Elementary Band Series.
Olympic March - Dale Lauder. (Alfred) ($35.00) (Grade 1) Olympic March is in the key of E-flat, but the key changes to B-flat. The meter is 2/4. The percussion has a 4 measure soli. This title is in the Miniscore Series using only a 6 line score.
Regal March - Bruce Pearson and Chuck Elledge. (Kjos) ($35.00) (Grade 1) (Time 1:40) Regal March is correlated to the Standard of Excellence Band Method Book 1, page 18. This march is in the key of E-flat. The meter is common time with the quarter note equal to 100 to 112 beats per minute. Two snare drum parts are provided; one more advanced than the other. A rehearsal piano part is provided. Also, a Teachers Resource Guide for this title is provided.
Sousa - The March King - John Philip Sousa / Larry Clark. (Belwin) ($35.00) (Grade 1.5) This medley features "High School Cadets", "El Capitan", "The Thunderer", and "Stars and Strips Forever". It opens in the key of B-flat and changes key at measure 25 to the key of E-flat. The meter is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 120 beats per minute. There are some repeated sections. A full performance CD of this title and others is included.
Sunliner - Eric Osterling (Hal Leonard) ($35.00) (Grade

Sunliner is a concert march in a lively 2/4 meter with the quarter note equal to 132. This
march uses the eighth note, quarter, eighth note syncopation pattern throughout. Clarinets
and tenor saxophone play a flowing, legato melody in the trio.
Westwood Trail Concert March - Douglas Wagner. (Belwin) ($40.00) (Grade 1.5) (Time 2:10) The opening key is B-flat. The key changes at measure 57 to E-flat and returns to B-flat in measure 77. The meter is 2/4 with the quarter note equal to 116 beats per minute. There are many dotted eighth-sixteenth note patterns. There also is much use of syncopation.
Young Lions - Mike Hannickel. (Curnow Music) ($34.00) (Grade 1) (Time 2:00) This is a concert march. It is in the key of B-flat. The meter is 4/4 with the quarter note equal to 152 beats per minute. All the rhythms are half and quarter notes. The drums have a 2 measure repeated soli.
Blazing Fury - David Shaffer. (Barnhouse) ($36.00) (Grade 2.5) Blazing Fury was commissioned by and dedicated to the Bux-Mont Intermediate Honors Band, Hatfield, PA. It is a concert march in the key of B-flat. The meter signature is cut-time. There are no repeats except for a D.S. al Coda. The key changes at the trio to E-flat. There are many accidentals.
Buckingham Brigade - Percy Hall. (Queenwood) ($60.00) (Grade 2.5) (Time 3:20) Buckingham Brigade is a concert march. It is in the key of B-flat in 6/8 meter. The dotted quarter note is equal to 120 beats per minute. It was written for the 1988 Richard County, Ohio, Honors Band. It is a traditional march style, except the repeats have been written out. The key changes at the trio to F. There is a D.S. al coda.
The Earle of Oxfords March - William Byrd / Mark Williams. (Alfred) ($45.00) (Grade 2) (Time 2:50) This arrangement is in the key of F. The meter is cut time in a slow march tempo at 72 beats per minute. The woodwinds have many eighth note runs.
Gallant Men of Erin - Arr. James D. Ployhar. (Belwin) ($40.00) (Grade 2) This Irish Folk Melody is written as a concert march. The key is E-flat. The opening meter signature is common time. The meter changes to 6/8 at measure 26 and changes back to common time at measure 50. The tempo is set at 108 beats per minute. The snare drum has a short solo. A full performance CD of this title as well as others is included.
Hill Country March - Walter Cummings. (Grand Mesa) ($50.00) (Grade 2) This concert march opens in the key of B-flat. It changes key at measure 87 to the key of E-flat. There are some accidentals. The meter is 2/4. There are no repeats.
March For A Festival - Bruce Pearson. (Kjos) ($35.00) (Grade 2.5) (Time 3:00) This title is correlated to the Standard of Excellence Band Method Book 2, page 26. It is in the key of E-flat, but it has many accidentals. The meter is 2/4 with the quarter note equal to 108 to 116 beats per minute. The introduction is an eight measure percussion section soli. The trumpet section has a 16 measure soli. A rehearsal piano part is included. Also included is a Teachers Resource Guide for this particular title.
March Mania! - Arr. Michael Story. (Belwin) ($40.00) (Grade 2) This title is a medley of "great march melodies". It opens in cut-time with the half note equal to 116 beats. The key is B-flat. The meter changes to 6/8 at the same tempo, but changes back to cut-time. This title is in the Young Band Series from Warner Bros. A full performance CD is included.
March With Fanfares - Frank Erickson. (Erickson) ($45.00) (Grade 2) (Time 2:00) March With Fanfares opens in the key of F. The key changes to B-flat. There are some accidentals throughout. The meter is 2/4 with the quarter note equal to 120 beats per minute. There are many three eighth note triplet patterns.
Military March - Ludwig van Beethoven / Robert E. Foster. (Wingert-Jones) ($35.00) (Grade 2) Military March is in the key of E-flat and has a choice for meter signature of 4/4 or cut time. There is a short repeated section. The trumpet range is to fifth line F. The first clarinet goes over the break. This title is in the Achievement Series. Each title in this series is a learning experience. A scale in addition to the arpeggio in the key of the tune is presented. Musical terms and expressions used in the tune are presented and explained to the student.

Plains West - William Owens (TRN) ($45.00) (Grade 2.5) A concert march in 4/4 time. The key changes from E flat to A flat. Trumpet parts lie well in the staff with a G on the space above the staff as the highest note for trumpets. The flute line at one point is obligato-like over a melody played by the clarinets and trumpets.

Prince Eugenes March is in 4/4 meter with the quarter note equal of 126 beats. It is in the key of B-flat with some accidentals. There are some repeated sections. Poland, Director in celebration of "its 25th anniversary". It is written in standard march format. The opening key is D-flat and it changes to E-flat at the trio. There are many accidentals. The meter is cut-time with the half note equal to 120 to 126 beats per minute.
Circus Days (Galop or March) - Karl L. King / Loras Schissel. (Barnhouse) ($60.00) (Grade 3.5) This title has a standard march format. The opening key is B-flat in 2/4 meter. The key changes at the trio to E-flat.
Florida National Guard March - Victor Lopez. (EPP) ($60.00) (Grade 3) This concert march is written in traditional march format. The opening key is B -flat. The meter is 2/4. The key changes at the trio to E -flat.

lengthy.

Marche Americana - Soren Hyldgaard, edited by Johan de Meij. (Amstel) ($99.00) (Grade 3) (Time 3:20) This title is a concert march in cut time. Both a full score and a condensed score are published in one book.
March: 1919 from Curlys Airships - Judge Smith. (G & M Brand) ($40.00) (Grade 3) (Time 3:00) This title is a "songstory, a narrative of words and music, about the R101 airship disaster of 1930. The opening key is E-flat. The meter is 6/8 with the dotted quarter note equal to 108 beats per minute. The key changes at measure 52 to the key of C. The meter also changes at measure 52 to 2/4. There are some repeated sections as well as a D.S. al Fine.
March Reveille - Curt Wilson. (Gore) (MB - $30.00 ; CB - $40.00) (Grade 3.5) This march is published in both concert band and marching band size. The opening key is E-flat in cut time. The half note is equal to 138 beats per minute. The key changes several times throughout; at measure 42 to A-flat, at measure 58 it goes to D-flat, at measure 90 it goes to A-flat again, and finally at measure 128 it goes to E-flat again.
Meyer March - John Zdechlik. (Kjos) ($50.00) (Grade 3) (Time 2:00) This march was originally published in 1922. It has been revised and published to "honor Meyers Music 125th anniversary". It is written in traditional march format. The opening key is E-flat in cut time. The half note is equal to 116 to 120 beats per minute. The key changes at the trio to A-flat.
Mid-West 50 - Stephen Bulla. (Curnow Music) ($59.00) (Grade 3) (Time 4:10) This title is a concert march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mid-West International Band and Orchestra Clinic held in Chicago. The key changes from the opening B-flat to E-flat and back to B-flat again. The meter is 4/4. There are no repeats. Under the Double Eagle - J. F. Wagner / Andrew Balent. (Carl Fischer) ($40.00) (Grade 3) (Time 3:45) Under the Double Eagle is a concert march in traditional march format. Under the Double Eagle - J.F. Wagner / Andrew Glover. (Barnhouse) ($60.00) (Grade 3.5) (Time 3:46) This concert march is written in traditional march format. It opens in the key of E-flat in 2/4 meter. The key changes at measure 51 to the key of A-flat.
Under the Southern Cross - Jerry Nowak (Boosey and Hawkes) ($60.00) (Grade 3.5) A concert march in 4/4 meter. It was first performed January 23, 1993 at the Melbourne Town Hall under the direction of the composer. It was commissioned by the Melbourne Youth Music Council, Melbourne, Australia. The key changes frequently from E flat, to B flat, to A flat and then to F. The introduction is a fanfare. Every section of the band is featured in one or more sections. Syncopated rhythmic patterns are used throughout.

Fest March from Tannhauser - Richard Wagner / Robert W. Rumbelow. (Ludwig Music) ($135.00) (Grade 4) Fest March was transcribed for the Eastman Wind Ensemble for their Japan Tour 1994 -- Donald Hunsberger, Conductor. This composition is in the key of B-flat in 4/4 meter. There are many three eighth note triplet patterns and some three sixteenth note triplet patters. Parts include 3 cornet and 2 trumpets plus one fluglehorn. There also is a separate English horn part. Also included are separate string bass, harp, Celeste/piano, and timpani and 4 percussion parts.
Guns Up! - Charles L. Booker, Jr. (SMC) ($60.00) (Grade 4) (Time 3:30) Guns Up is a concert march opening in the key of B-flat. The meter is 2/4 with the quarter note equal to 116 beats per minute. The trio is composed by PFC Chester F. Kowslec (1945) as the 3rd Armored Division Song. The key changes at the trio to E-flat. The meter also changes to 4/4. The key changes again to A-flat.
Le Pere La Victoire March - Louis Ganne / Harold Gore. (Gore) ($40.00) (Grade 4) This concert march has a standard march format. It starts in the key of B-flat in 2/4 meter with the quarter note equal to 120 beats. It changes to E-flat at the trio. The trumpet range is to G at the top of the staff.
Seventy -Six Trombones - Meredith Willson / Arr. Leroy Anderson, and adapted by Jay Bocook. (Hal Leonard) ($60.00) (Grade 4) This march is from the musical "The Music Man". The opening key is C. The key changes several times throughout using F, B-flat, G, E-flat and finally ending in F. The meter also changes several times opening in 4/4 and going back and forth to 6/8.
Star Puzzle March - Soichi Konagaya (Kjos) ($60.00) (Grade 4) (3:25 minutes) A concert march based on "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". There are several key changes from F, to B flat, to C, and back to F.
Stars and Stripes Forever - John Philip Sousa / Keith Brion and Loras Schissel. (Barnhouse) (Grade 4) ($60.00) (3:26) December 24, 1996 marked the 100th anniversary of Sousa composing this masterpiece and what better reason to program it. Includes the vocal part (opt.) and extensive rehearsal and program notes for directors regarding the performance practices and styles of the period. This new publication is an official, authorized Sousa edition of John Philip Sousa, Inc., the family corporation."
Symphonic Circus March - Timothy Rhea. (TRN) ($50.00) (Grade 4) Symphonic Circus March is a concert march in the traditional march style. The opening key is E-flat in 2/4 meter. The key changes to A-flat at the trio.
Rag-Time-March - Yasuhide Ito. (TRN) ($50.00) (Grade 5) Rag-Time-March is written in 2/4 meter in the key of B-flat. The key changes to E-flat but back to B-flat again. The tempo is set at 100 to 108 beats per minute. There are many accidentals throughout. Also there are some repeated sections. The trumpet range is to B-flat above the staff.
