NEW YORK, NEW YORK, THEME FROM - Arr. Brian Scott. $45.00 Every once in a while a tune comes along that is so good, it deserves performing again and again. This great tune has sort of a Blue Devils flavor in a Big Band swing style. Brian is one of the best new writers in the marching band arena to come along in years. Check this out! (Time 2:18)

SALUTE TO THE DUKE - Arr. Paul Murtha. $40.00 Close your show with this Duke Ellington showcase that combines "Satin Doll" and "It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)."

SASSY STRUT - Arr. Larry Kerchner. $60.00 This high energy arrangement was originally written for Buddy Rich to show off his rock drumming style and to feature his hottest players. It always got a fantastic ovation and also gave his musicians a challenge every night. The full chord cadenzas are memorable to audiences of all backgrounds and it is sure to catch everyone’s attention.

THE SPEAK UP MAMBO - Arr. Rod Harkins. $60.00 Made famous by the Manhattan Transfer, this tune really cooks!

STORMY - Arr. Victor Lopez. $60.00 Made popular by Santana, this tune makes a very nice production number!

CHANNEL ONE SUITE (Movement I) - Arr. Wayne Downey, perc. arr. George Blakely. $60.00 This BUDDY RICH classic is now in a complete show. Wayne has been the driving force behind the Blue Devils for many years, and this show is one that has made them famous. Wayne has rescored his incredible arrangements for Warner Bros., and although this is a challenging program, it will be well worth the effort. (Time 2:00)

CHANNEL ONE SUITE (Movement II) - Arr. Wayne Downey, perc. arr. George Blakely. $50.00 The second movement from the complete show is the beautiful ballad from Channel One Suite. Wayne's rich scoring is fabulous. This presents a great opportunity to feature your best trumpet soloist. This piece is beautiful, but also very powerful. It's a great change of pace for any show. (Time 2:27)

CHANNEL ONE SUITE (Movement III) - Arr. Wayne Downey, perc. arr. George Blakely. $60.00 The final movement for the Channel One Suite is a driving rock/fusion spectacular. This movement also features the percussion section in Buddy Rich style drum breaks. An optional extended percussion solo can be inserted, or you can use the four-measure break included. This dynamic jazz show, by one of the best arrangers in the country, really ends with a bang! (Time 2:33)

BIRDLAND - Arr. Jay Bocook / Will Rapp. $60.00 Weather Report’s tour de force brought down the house at DCI Championships with this Bocook arrangement. The groove is what makes it cook, and Jay’s version for band is an impressive show closer.

DANCING MEN - Arr. Victor Lopez. $50.00 This has a happy and upbeat feel and was often performed by "The Buddy Rich Big Band". (Production)

A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE - Arr. Jay Bocook / Will Rapp. $60.00 A jazz standard that’s been recorded by many major artists including The Manhattan Transfer. Their tasty version is the basis for this stunning production ballad.

ONE MORE TIME, FRANKIE & JOHNNY - Arr. by Tom Wallace. $50.00 Have some great fun with this dance number, which features (among other things) a trumpet quartet, big band shouts, a "Charleston" feel.... and a down 'n dirty ending. (Production)

WALK BETWEEN RAINDROPS - Arr. Jay Dawson. $50.00 This song was featured on the Donald Fagen's LP "The Nightfly". Cool bass lines with lots of brass shouts. (Production)

YA GOTTA TRY - Sammy Nestico / arr. Paul Lavender / Will Rapp. $60.00 What better way to kick off a jazz show than with a burnin’ flag-waver from the master, Sammy Nestico. It’s got a Basie-style opening, shout choruses ala Buddy Rich, and great spots for your soloists.
