Battle of Flowers Parade
April 23, 1999
The 108th Battle of Flowers Parade began at 12:45 p.m. at the corner of Grayson Street and Broadway in San Antonio (only a few blocks from Southern Music Company). Texas first lady Laura Bush was the grand marshal of the historic day parade. There were almost 200 entries in the parade, including 32 area high school bands.
