Southern Music Company is moving!
As many of you know, Southern Music Company will be moving from our present location in the spring of 2000. We have been here at the corner of Broadway and Jones for almost 50 years, and the move will be painful in many ways. Many of us have been coming here since our childhood, buying music for piano lessons or solos for UIL. We hate to leave this place, but it will be exciting to be in a location where we will be on one floor and where we will be able to update much of our equipment and procedures. As soon as we are sure of where we will be going, we will let you know. Sadly, this will be the last TCDA that we will service from 1100 Broadway
.1999-2000 PML
The big news this summer is the release of the new PML. I had the privilege of working with the Vocal Committee several weekends here in the store; they are a conscientious group of folks. The compilation and editing of the list is an arduous task and there is no doubt that the Texas choral directors will benefit from their hard work. We know everyone is anxious to see the new list, and would like to have bound folios to take with you at TCDA. We've only seen bits and pieces, and have yet to see the final, printed version. Once we get the official list from the UIL, we'll have folios for you to purchase or peruse. We have copies of the official PML on order, and will have them at the Convention, if we receive them from the UIL. And we have a gift for you with the purchase of the newly formatted official Texas PML!

Half the fun at TCDA is seeing friends and catching up; I hope we have a chance to visit. We've been the vendor for the TCDA Convention for many years, and it has been our privilege working with you and supporting you and your programs. You can find us either passing out packets, in Room 101, or in the Exhibit Hall. I know this will be an exciting year, and I look forward to starting it out with you at the 1999 TCDA New Music Reading Clinic and Convention!
